Message :i had the sport 500's --i wanted more power .. sold them .they were fine --but a stock motor cannot handle 22-24psi on these turbos because of the cast pistons will grenade ..

This has not been true in my experience. There are more cars in California with those turbos running higher boost than 19 than there are in all of the east I'd venture to guess and they run just fine with properly tuned cars and good gas (something we don't have...but 100 is fine :) A problematic car here or there can fool the brain into thinking there's a bigger problem...trust me, it's happened to me as well. If there's one turbo I'm sure about, it's the 500s.

there are other power options for the same money ( speak to ranchz --he sold his 530bb turbos after two weeks for the jwt 700bb ) ..now we come to mysetup ..for little more than the cost of the 530bb turbo ( maybe $700 ) -- you cant go wrong with the dupree tubular inconel manifolds and sport 600's setup .. i have 1k miles now on my setup and can tell you that there IS NO SIGNIFICANT additional lag .. it seems to flow real nice and reaches my maximum peak boost of 20psi ( pump fuel )

First of all, I personally wouldn't be running 20psi on pump fuel. This is a big red flag as it is. Even with 94 octane which some of you guys have out there, that's pushing it. The car might not be pinging, might not be getting too hot but all it takes is one bad tank and *poof*. It's happened many times. Perhaps it's thinking like this that is causing cars to "grenade" themselves. You don't see many Supras running 20psi on any turbo on pump gas for the very same reason. Why risk the investment?

the great thing about this turbo is that with tuning I should be able to get near the 26 to 28psi range .....of course the ultimate setup maybe hks2530bb with inconel manifolds or jwt700's ..have to wait i guess until more dynos after tuning come out before that decision can be made ... just my 2 cents !

Well, no one has done that just yet and you're forgetting something here. While you may have gotten the lag down to "acceptable" ranges, the powerband is totally different. Let's compare apples to apples here. You have a Sport 500 car with ported manifolds and now a Sport 600 car with GD inconels. At no point do you even mention what Sport 530BBs would do with inconels. It's your perogative to do anything you like with your turbos, but 99.9999% of people would be gloriously happy with a car that had ~530RWHP, less lag than the Sport 600s *and* a larger area under the curve. If you were to compare apples to apples and compare Sport 530BBs w/inconel to Sport 600 w/inconel you'd see my original description still makes sense.

I don't doubt that your car spools relatively quick and that the power is awesome...but you haven't been in a car with Sport 530BBs and inconels. Or even an HKS2530 car with inconels. Greg and Seb can attest to this...it's sick. In your case the only gain is some more peak power and at this point the 600s have yet to prove themselves at 26-28psi. I sure haven't seen the chart on that. Maybe you can break the mold :) I sincerely wish you luck in that. Heck, at this point even the Sport700s have not proven themselves yet. I'm optimistic as hell about them, but I'm also a realistic. Until I see them work right, they aren't an option to me. I hope that makes some sense.
